Abstract: Perovskite La$_{1-x}$Sr$_{x}$MnO$_{3-\delta}$-powder with an Sr-content of 0.0 to 0.9 mole were produced by the solid-state reaction. They were plasma sprayed to fabricate soating samples and uniaxial pressing-sintering was used for shaping bodies. Sample properties investigated are stochiometry, crystal structure, phase transformation, thermal expansion, electrical conductivity up to 1000 °C and the behavior of the powder during processing. Determined properties as a function of composition, oxygen and Mn$^{4+}$-ion concentration, temperature and processing method indicate that La$_{1-x}$Sr$_{x}$MnO$_{3-\delta}$ materials with high electrical conductivity and a suitable coefficent of thermal expansion can be produced based on a definite crystal structure. These materials have a potential applicability in fabricating SOFC (Solid Oxide Fuel Cells).
